Deborah MacKinnon's Kingston High School class of creative writing students had a project to interview Veterans today. I was lucky enough to be part of their project.
The children of the Kingston area have one of the nicest High School campuses I have ever seen.
This is the first building you see after exiting a walk way through beautifully landscaped grounds. This is the building were you get your visitors pass.
This building is where Deborah MacKinnon's class room is located. If you think the outside nice you will be happy to hear that it is also wonderful on the inside, spacious, with a lot of natural light.

L to R Mayra Ramirez, Chelsea Brown, Alessia Sarale (kneeling), Lauren Benear (Heinz Hickethier) Donald Stoops, Jacob Tippets, and kneeling is Ross Patton.
The students were broken into small groups. Each group interviewed a veteran using a set of pre written questions. Their assignment was to interview a veteran and them select a poignant story from their experience and write it as a memoir.
I am grateful to see their interest in Veterans and was honored to take part in their project.
