HONOR MEDAL OF HONOR RECIPIENT LTC BRUCE CRANDALL HONORED DURING PUBLIC CEREMONY AT OLYMPIA   4/16/2007

The state of Washington and Governor Christine Gregoire honored LTC Bruce Crandall. it was an amazing day for us to see how She and her government showed their true feelings for those that serve their country with honor

Today Tom Restemayer and I were in the presents of a remarkable individual LTC  BRUCE CRANDAL he is cited with saving 70 lives, wounded soldiers whom he flew to safety but what is not accounted for is all those he saved by rearming and re-supplying them during his 22 flights that day in November 1965. He did all this in an unarmed Huey.

On the left is the intertribal warrior honor guard firing a gun salute and on the right our limited view of the official party before uncovering LTC Crandall's name on the Medal of Honor monument on the capital grounds.
