Rose Festival 2011

There would be no Rose Festival for the NW chapter without MSRON 9, their sailors and their truck

Just a few of the sailors that made the event happen -- L to R PO Portugal, PO Jepsen, PO Basped, BM1 Shadwick and his wife

Lcdr. Sullivan and Lt. McEwan:

On behalf of the Northwest Chapter of Gamewardens Association Inc. (Vietnam to Present) I cannot thank you enough for the outstanding support given our organization by MESRON 9.  Your professionalism, attention to detail and ability to successfully address any and all difficulties thrown in your path made our participation in the 2011 Portland Rose Festival a reality.  I am sorry you did not have an opportunity to see the boat and the location we  were given.  This year we had an unprecedented number of people visit the boat.  The access brow and ladder were terrific and well suited to the situation; enabling visitors to access the our PBR directly upon accessing the barge.  The PT 658 together with our PBR were a perfect fit but a display from today’s Navy such as a boat or two from your organization would have made it even better.  Maybe next year.

Thanks again

Capt. Stephen B. Morrison, USN Retired

President, Northwest Chapter
