Robert “Bob” Cook

Robert Cook, 84, of Vancouver, WA passed away November 3, 2016. He was born in Ute, Iowa to Glen and Leola Cook.

Robert served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 - 1975. He was very proud of his service in Korea and Vietnam and he also served as an weapons instructor at San Diego and Mare Island for the Navy. Upon retirement as a GM Chief, he then went to worked for the Vancouver School District as a custodian for 21 years, until his retirement in 1996.

Bob enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, and was an Atlanta Braves baseball fan. A highlight of his last week, he watched the Cubs win the World Series with his family. A very giving man, he also enjoyed playing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Marie Cook; six children, Vicki, Michael, Robert, Teresa, Karen and Jill; 13 grandchildren, Brandon, Thomas, Andrew, Tim, Bryan, Holly, Vanessa, Melissa, Jessica, Courtney, Alyssa, Stevie and Olivia, plus four whom he also loved, Naomi, Millie, Brooke and Mackenzie. Also survived by his brothers, Daniel, Bruce and Donald. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.
