Stephen Wilber

Our loving husband and father passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer on April 1, 2010. Steve retired in 2008 from the Seattle Veteran's Hospital. He served in Vietnam in River Section 521 as a gunner's mate on board the River Patrol boats. He was a member of the US Amputee soccer team beginning in 1985 and traveled to several European countries and past participant in Skiforall. Member of the NWC Gamewardens of Vietnam. He was an avid photographer.

He is survived by wife Eileen, daughters Nicole Wilber and Carolyn Kuhn, grandchildren, Jacob, Madeline, and Andrew. Also survived by sister Inez Smith; step-mother Mary Edith Wilber, step-brother David Burt (Kay); mother-in-law, Marge Niemer. Preceded in death by father Wayne Francis Wilber and father-in-law Edward Niemer. Visitation Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Price-Helton Funeral Home, Auburn, WA from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Funeral mass Monday, April 12, 2010, at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Des Moines, WA. at 10:00 a.m. Reception following at parish hall. Burial at Tahoma National Cemetery Kent, WA on April 12, 2010, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Disabled American Veterans. Online
